This summer, the Enterprise Consulting Team partnered with the Financial Markets Lab at the Odette School of Business in order to provide better secondary research for the team’s clients. The Financial Markets Lab is equipped with state of the art Bloomberg software as well as other numerous resources designed to enhance the research capabilities of undergraduate students. The Bloomberg service brings together real-time data on every financial market, unparalleled news and research, and powerful analytics on any public company around the world.

The team leveraged the strength of the software to conduct comparable companies analysis, supply chain management analysis, macroeconomic analysis, and market segment analysis. As an example, the team was able to provide a potential list of customers for a client by analyzing the supply chain of a comparable company in Europe. This proved to be very useful for the client because the software provided the names of potential customers as well as revenue predictions. As a result of the in depth research provided, the team was able to give concise recommendations that positively affected the business of our client.
