The 8th Annual Conference for the Academy of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (#AIE2015RyersonU) will be held for the first time in beautiful Toronto, Canada from August 20-21, 2015. The AIE conference has been successfully held since 2008, and attracted more than 1,500 participants from more than 27 countries. In 2015, conference participants will have the unique opportunity to experience Canada as an innovation nation with a vibrant entrepreneurial sector. This year’s conference will be hosted by the Canada-China Institute for Business and Development, located in the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University, in conjunction with Oxford and Tsinghua universities. Ryerson University is located in the heart of downtown Toronto. Home to more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs, almost 40,000 students and 2,700 faculty members and staff, it is one of the nation’s leading innovative and career-focused universities. This is evidenced in its Digital Media Zone (DMZ), the top ranked university incubator in Canada, and fifth in the world. It has incubated more than 130 start-ups and created more than 1,200 jobs in diverse industries and sectors. This year’s conference will borrow from Ryerson’s unique approach to education, bridging the gap between research and industry by bringing academia, students and business together into one conference to present research on, discuss and debate the benefits of embracing an approach to innovation and entrepreneurship that promotes inclusiveness. The AIE Conference provides a broad platform to convene leaders from around the world to present research and to stimulate discussions on critical research issues and new developments in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
