The EPICentre at the University of Windsor and EPIC Genesis, EPICentre’s St. Clair College location are hosting their first Windsor-Essex Mini Maker Faire in late February. Families and individuals will come out to celebrate a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) attitude. The Mini Maker Faire will showcase all sorts of incredible projects from arts and crafts, to science, engineering, food, music, and even fire and water! The event is designed to be highly engaging and a whole lot of fun. What truly makes this event special is all of these interesting projects bringing together creative people. Essentially, the Mini Maker Faire is a community based learning event that encourages everyone to become a maker and connect to people and projects in their local community. Unlike a static traditional tradeshow, the Windsor-Essex Mini Maker Faire is interactive and educational in all sorts of ways by allowing the experience to be truly hands-on. From simple conversations and detailed explanations to amazing do-it-yourself demonstrations, Maker Faire is all about participation and sharing.
The Mini Maker Faire will be held at St. Clair College on February 24th from 10am to 3pm.
