UWIN_3D Print Club is hosting a 3D Selfie booth during WAVES Festival (taking place Sept 30th – Oct 1st from 4pm to 11pm). Using a Kinect 3D scanner, participants can get their likeness scanned and saved as a 3D file. The UWIN_3D Print Club can email the selfie to each participant and, of course, will encourage them to swing by the club during club hours to learn more about 3D printing and to have their likeness 3D printed out at cost. The Club is located in the School of Creative Arts Lebel Building. See their website at www.uwin3dp.com for more details about location, meet-up times and blog. All proceeds will go towards purchasing materials for the club.

The UWIN_3D Print Club will also have a raffle draw to guess how many layers are in a single print on site. The winner will receive 25 hours of free print time at the club (which is basically enough to cover a large object or a few smaller ones).
