The University of Windsor EPICentre is kicking off their second cohort of the EPIC VentureWomen program. Funded by FedDev Ontario under the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy and the Lucas Imagine Fund and in collaboration with RISE Windsor-Essex, the EPIC VentureWomen program is aimed to provide tailored training and support for women changemakers looking to reimagine the future. This program is specifically designed with special attention to the systemic barriers women face in entrepreneurship. Throughout the 4-month program, participants will learn key skills, competencies and know-how on a wide range of topics.
“We kicked off our first cohort of the EPIC VentureWomen program this past February and it was a huge success,” said Wen Teoh, EPICentre Director. “The EPICentre team wants all future female leaders to realize their full potential by gaining the tools and knowledge needed to break down barriers and made a real impact within our community.”
Interested applicants for the EPIC VentureWomen program have until September 24th, 2020 to submit their applications to be considered for this cohort. Eligibility includes any female or female-identifying founders or co-founders of a venture within the Windsor-Essex community that is two years old or less.
This program is valued at over $7,500 and is 100% free of cost to all participants. EPICentre strives to build a more inclusive innovative ecosystem for women by providing female founders and co-founders the opportunity to explore their ideas, develop their entrepreneurial skills and know-how, expand their network and build a business that is future proof.
