Through the Libro- EPIC Social Impact Initiative, funded by Libro Credit Union,
EPICentre has teamed up with Sarah Haefling of the Made it Happen podcast to help feature local changemakers within the community.
Since starting her podcast back in May of this year, Sarah has had the opportunity to interview many fearless leaders who have followed their entrepreneurial dreams “Hearing about what started out as an idea, and then was built from the ground up always left me wanting to know more, and that’s what I want to share with others” said Sarah.
This collaboration will include a three-part series beginning on November 15th, with local three social enterprises. In the first installment of this series, Sarah will be interviewing Half Step Away, a social enterprise that uses a personalized approach to music training to support the creative growth and emotional wellbeing of people of all abilities. The Half Step Away team were also previous members of the 2019 Libro-EPIC Social Enterprise program.
Made it Happen is dedicated to inspiring others through stories of those who have experienced going out on their own first-hand and discussing all the highs – and the lows. Since launching, the Made it Happen podcast has drawn significant attention, reaching the #36 spot in the Entrepreneurial Category in Canada.
