Founded by the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation and through partnerships with a network of organizations in the local community, RISE aims to empower women in entrepreneurship and stem in the Windsor-Essex community. In their latest initiative, RISE has teamed up with Sarah Haefling and her podcast “Made It Happen” in a series that will highlight local female entrepreneurs.
In the first installment of their series, the Made It Happen podcast featured EPIC Discovery member and social media guru, Taylor Lanoie. Taylor talked about her amazing entrepreneurship journey and how she has worked with international clients in over 25 different industries. The second installment featured EPIC Changemaker, Ola Hassan founder of Kindness Café. Ola began her journey in our Libro-EPIC Social Innovators cohort where she built a food rescue program to help nourish and sustain the Windsor-Essex Community.
Tune in for the third installment featuring EPIC Director Wen Teoh and founder of Ground Culture Gardens, Brandi Bechard. Brandi was part of the first cohort of our EPIC VentureWomen program, a program that aims to identify and eliminate systemic barriers to progress women in entrepreneurship; especially in emerging technologies.
The EPICentre is now accepting applications for our second cohort of the EPIC VentureWomen program. To learn more, please visit our website:
