Meet Our Founders: EdSay.ai

June 23, 2020in Blog 0 Comments

Company Name:  EdSay.ai

Founders: Richa Singh Madnawat & Dhrumil Patel

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

My name is Dhrumil Patel. I am a Master of Commerce graduate and have recently earned a Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics from Durham College. Data Science has always been a field that I have been fond of since my bachelor’s. As time passed I honed my skills and have worked in the Data Science Industry for 3 years now and it has only helped me grow. The idea of building a chatbot was intuitive and has made me progress as an individual along with optimizing my profile.

My name is Richa Singh Madnawat. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Windsor perusing Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer engineering. Artificial Intelligence is a field that really fascinates me. I worked as a Junior Production Engineer at a manufacturing firm and got to know about Data Science and Analytics through various articles and social media posts. I got so fascinated about it hence started learning more and tried applying the skills in my work. Gradually I developed an interest in AI as data science and analytics were just a part of it. I started digging deeper and realized how AI can help connect customers to businesses. Hence, I got a drive to build a product that could help automate tasks by providing customers their personal assistants solving any query from any corner of the world.

Tell us about your company

We are team EdSay.ai. We started this company in February 2020. We focus on helping our clients better serve their customers by building a platform where they can reach out regarding any issue anytime. Our primary customers are educational institutes. Being an international student there were so many challenges that I faced which inspired us to build a platform where students like me can reach out whenever they are stuck. With the fast pace development in artificial intelligence, we want to provide service to the student with the help of technical automation which will not only be available to them 24/7 but also reduce the workload of the institution officials providing customer service.

How do you feel the RBC EPICentre Founders program will be beneficial to growing your company?

D: The RBC EPICentre Founders program has been such a great learning curve for me as I have learned how to build a business out of just an idea or a basic prototype. We are learning about value proposition, Lean Startup Methodology, Business Model Canvas, and numerous more things that shall help us grow our knowledge and build our business. Attending workshops from such great distinguished guest speakers and other experienced professionals only make it better for us to simplify this process.

R: RBC EPICentre Founders Program has provided us with a platform to present our ideas and work on it. We have been given the opportunity to explore business ventures where we are learning about the value proposition of our business model and its impact on the community. The guidance that we are receiving from our mentors and leaders is helping us figure out the loopholes in the business model and how to eradicate them in order to build a product that is efficient. Various workshops helped by the EPICentre are helping us understand real-world challenges and how to face them. Along with this, the funds provided for the business model has helped us to overcome the financial challenges

Why do you feel it’s important to have a company like yours in our community?

D: We feel a company like ours does help the community in terms of how international students can be helped to study and live here in a way they can blend into the culture seamlessly. The problems they face shall be solved efficiently and contribute to the diverse culture that Canada intends to be.

R: Our company will help students all over the world figure out their career-related queries leading them to go ahead with their passion. This will help them build their careers in the field they are passionate about and will provide community various talents in order to create something good. It is a step towards improvising the education system to empower students.

Where do you hope to see yourself and your company by the end of this program?

D: By the end of the program, our goal is to be all set and prepared for launching our product/services in the market, with all the business knowledge that we gain from the program. Our end-user as well as our direct customers shall trust us when they buy/use our product/services when we pitch or sell to them.

R: By the end of this program we wish to be ready for the market by approaching out the clients and marketing ourselves and our company to help our business connect with their end customers. We look forward to making our clients believe and trust us with their business.
