On Friday, July 5th, our EPIC workshop room was filled with University of Windsor, Master of Management students looking to learn more about entrepreneurship. Since majority of the students are international students studying at the University of Windsor, EPICentre partnered with the Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation and Small Business Centre to provide information and opportunities for international students looking to start a business in Canada.
This session also welcomed the New Canadians’ Centre of Excellence – a community based, direct-service agency which exists to assist, support and promote the full and equitable participation of new Canadians. Workshop participants were also fortunate enough to hear from a panel of previous international students who were enrolled in the Master of Management program at the University of Windsor.
EPICentre would like to thank the following community members who have graciously donated their time and support for this event:
- Ryan Donally, Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation
- Natasha Marar, Small Business Centre
- Karam Quzi, New Canadians’ Centre of Excellence
