On February 7th, 2022, EPICentre launched the 4th cohort for the Libro-EPIC Social Enterprise Program. In partnership with Libro Credit Union, our Libro-EPIC Social Enterprise Program aims to support changemakers looking to launch and grow a social enterprise. This 16-week program provides participants the opportunity to attend exclusive and tailored workshops by local professionals and experts, dynamic coaching by Pillar Nonprofit Network, and $2,000 in funding on eligible business expenses. At the end of the program, participants will be pitching their idea for a chance to win a $5,000 top prize – stay tuned! This program is valued at over $7,000 and 100% for all participants.

Welcoming the 2022 Social Enterprise Cohort

  • AccessAble – Project Manager, Erin Plumb
  • Ecovana – Founder Andrea Descargar
  • Right Hear – Founders Noor Al-Azary and Tachelle Ting
  • Windsor of Change – Founders Stepan Tuzlov, Niharika Bandaru and Prabarna Ganguly

AccessAble aims to ensure everyone thrives in our community by removing information barriers and transforming the cultural conditions in our region to improve educational, vocational, and community outcomes for people of all abilities. Our services will help employers create accessible workplaces that are diversity-centered, educators develop inclusive learning opportunities rooted in the UDL framework, and create opportunities for every ability.

Right Hear Audio is a female-led passion project hoping to create a more accessible space in academia. Noor Al-Azary and Tachelle Ting started this initiative when answering the question of how we can better support our peers. Right Hear Audio provides human-voiced audio files of academic literature.

Windsor of Change is a non-profit organization that is bringing awareness and action related to environmental issues within the Windsor-Essex region. We are a part of the worldwide grassroots movements to help our local area respond to climate change and sustain positive environmental effects.

Ecovana creates essential plastic-free products. Founder, Andrea Descargar, waste management expert’s mission is to reduce household waste throughout North America. To execute this mission, Ecovana is releasing a monthly subscription box that contains eco-conscious products for daily use. The subscription box will be useful for anyone beginning their low-waste journey, or for people already dedicated to eliminating single-use plastic in their household.
