MONTREAL, QC. – This past month, we attended the International Startup Festival in Montreal, QC. The event brings together founders, investors and analysts from over a dozen countries to inspire one another and network on everything related to Entrepreneurship.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to learn about new and exciting startups opening their doors around the world. From new children toys designed to teach kids how to create an electric circuit, to technology that has become empathetic, the most creative minds showcased their ideas through pitches and festival booths.
The theme for this year’s event was “Models and Masters”, explaining that “startups need to master business, funding and growth models – and then figure out how to rethink them”. Familiar faces, such as Damien Steel from OMERS and startups from Waterloo were present at this world-renowned event.
We urge all of you interested in starting a business to join Startupfest 2016 for exposure to great minds and connections around the globe.
Please see the video below for the “Startup National Anthem” written during the event.
