Over one hundred students and faculty gathered to watch the first ever EPIC Sales Pitch Competition held at St. Clair College on Thursday, October 5th.
Students chose a vendor at St. Clair College – Subway, Tim Horton’s or Booster Juice – and submitted a 60-second video pitch about one of their products. Videos were evaluated by a panel of judges and the top 10 competed live on stage.
Congratulations goes to 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners Robert Sproat, Rebecca Rivard and Rafye Kahn! Special thanks to the generous support of Telus, Devonshire Mall, the St. Clair Student Representative Council (SRC) and the Great Canadian Sales Competition. Participants and attendees received generous prizes and great SWAG. The event was also sponsored by EPICentre and the Ontario Centres of Excellence.
The Pitch is designed to prepare students for a challenging and exciting career in sales. The skills are also valuable to those who want to start and grow a business.
The EPIC Sales Pitch Competition was also a training ground for students to enter the Great Canadian Sales Competition with a chance to win $7,500 and opportunities to meet top employers.
A special thank you to St. Clair College Faculty Professors Rourke, Glatter and Spadotto for organizing this event.
