Understanding Patents for Canadian Entrepreneurs

Presenters from Windsor’s Faculty of Law will be providing information and tips for startups on how to protect their invention using patents.

Speakers & Bios:  

Corinne Doroszkiewicz

Corinne is a second-year law student at Windsor Law. Prior to law school, Corinne completed her Master’s degree in medical science. Corinne is interested in the relationship between law, technology, and business. She has conducted research on the patentability of methods of medical treatment and commercial privacy law.  

Philip Morais:

Philip Morais currently stands as a Juris Doctor candidate for 2021. His professional background is in corporate sales and marketing. He has worked as a research assistant and co-convenor at LTEC Lab on an event for regulating media that sought to facilitate an interdisciplinary approach to law and technology through communication studies.
