T-shirt Transformation feat. Stitch Happens

Upcycle a t-shirt into a pillow cover in this 2-hour hand sewing workshop!

Do you have an old concert or event t-shirt lying around that you don’t wear anymore but can’t bear to part with? We will teach you how to transform it into a pillow cover for a small pillow.  No sewing machine is required for this workshop as we will be doing everything by hand. You will need a needle and thread, pins, a ruler, a washable marker, and a pillow or stuffing.  This workshop is beginner-friendly, no previous sewing experience required.

Materials Needed: 

• 1 t-shirt, preferably an adult size
• Sharp scissors, ideally sewing scissors but sharp kitchen scissors will work
• A needle and matching coloured thread
• Pins
• Tape measure or ruler
• Washable marker
• pillow form, or stuffing for your pillow*no sewing machine needed

Supplies can be ordered through Stitch Happens, they would have to be ordered at least 10 days in advance for us to be able to get them on time.  For $6 a kit with a needle, thread and some pins can be purchased and we can do curbside pick up or local delivery.  If they would like to add a pillow form, we have 12x12inch forms available for $13 each.
