The EPICentre will be putting on an information session regarding intellectual property (IP) and legal resources for start-ups and entrepreneurs on Tuesday March 8th at the Joyce Entrepreneurship Centre at the University of Windsor.
The info session will provide information about intellectual property strategy as well as information on legal resources that are available for innovative start-ups who may require legal help in IP and business law.
There will also be two special guests for the event. Darlene Carreau, the Director General of Business Services at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), will be in attendance and will provide the opening remarks. Maya Medeiros, a lawyer / patent agent from the law firm Norton Rose Fulbright LLP, will be presenting on intellectual property strategy and providing information on the firm’s Innovation Clinic which offers legal resources for start-up companies.
