EPICentre is hiring a Research Assistant for EPIC Makers’ Base

Job responsibilities:
- Research best practices and develop a sustainable programming strategy for the makerspace, including setting up workshops for the Make It & Take It workshop series
- Research and execute standard operating procedures for makerspace
- Assist makerspace’s members in prototype development using 3D printers or laser cutter and the general use of other equipment at the makerspace
- Primary liaison between EPIC Makers’ Base and other internal and external stakeholders as well as potential members
Work hours:
- 15-20 hours a week
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening and weekends
- 6 months contract, with a possibility of extension
Essential qualification:
- Graduate student or upper years undergraduate student
- Must possess working knowledge in handling equipment and tools such as 3D printers, laser cutter, soldering etc.
