The Ontario Tourism Innovation Lab is a non-profit initiative that was created to find, foster and support new tourism ideas, experiences and partnerships, and to build a community of tourism innovators and entrepreneurs in Ontario.
Launched as a pilot in Windsor Essex in 2018, the Lab and its “Spark” Mentorships & Grants Program are expanding to new regions across the province in 2019-20, including Bruce County, Chatham-Kent, Northeastern Ontario, Sarnia-Lambton.
The Lab is a program of Hackforge, a non-profit technology organization, and is based at the University of Windsor – EPICentre. The initiative was recently selected as a finalist for the 2019 Ontario Tourism Innovator of the Year Award, the winner to be announced at the Ontario Tourism Summit in Blue Mountain on October 30th.
