EPICentre is excited to be one of the recipients of a generous gift from the Windsor Mold Group to the University of Windsor. This funding will be used to support our current makerspace. To show our appreciation, the EPIC Makers’ Base will now be named the Windsor Mold Group EPIC Makers’ Base.
Our makerspace, launched in March 2018, is equipped with high tech equipment such as 3D printers, CO2 laser cutter and 3D modelling software to low tech tools such as soldering guns, sewing machine and hand tools. The makerspace provides our students and aspiring entrepreneurs with an experimentation ground to get creative. We also hold the Make It & Take It Series featuring instructional workshops designed to teach participants how to design and make cool gadgets. Participants get to make the projects with their own hands and take home their creations.
