We’re excited to announce a new 6-month pilot program funded by the O’Neil Foundation in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre) at University of Windsor. The program will enable ambitious students at the Odette School of Business to help local charities with capacity building. Along with support from student teams, charities will also receive support from experts and mentors to identify and work on strategic solutions to their most pressing needs. The aim of this program is to support local charities working to make positive social impact in our community and introduce to students the benefits of collaboration and community within the charity sector in Windsor-Essex. Charities participating in the initiative will receive a stipend of up to $7000 for participation. This represents $50/hour for 5 hours a week over 28 weeks.
If you are interested in learning more about the project, and how you can get involved, please email Anushree at adave3@uwindsor.ca. To apply to the program, please email Anushree the answer to the following questions by Wednesday September 5th (200 word limit per question):
1) What is your organization’s mission statement?
2) What are your most pressing needs as an organization?
3) What are your short-term (6-month) goals?
