On September 21, 2018, EPICentre will host its inaugural Libro-EPIC Social Enterprise Pitch Competition. Anyone with a creative idea for a business with a goal to improve our community is free to apply before September 7th 2018. Application forms can be found here.
If you are interested in attending the pitch competition to just watch, and not participate, you must sign up online. Space is limited.
For more clarity on whether you should come to watch or actually pitch an idea, see below:
The Pitch Competition is for:
• Business ideas that are based in Windsor-Essex (it’s okay to have a global impact)
• Have a social/environmental mission statement along with an idea to generate money
• Founder must be eligible to work in Canada
The winning teams will be awarded up to $8000 and the program will require a commitment of 35 hours/week over a 16-week period from October 1st to January 31st (dates are subject to change). At the end of the program, teams will present their ideas on January 31st for feedback from an expert panel.
If you fall under this description, please fill out an application ASAP! Otherwise, come watch the pitches as an audience member and enjoy learning about the ideas making a difference in your community.
