The International Intellectual Property (IP) Law Clinic is a truly unique clinical education initiative. This USPTO certified collaborative effort between Detroit Mercy Law and Windsor Law is one the most advanced intellectual property clinical programs in North America and offers services that are not available anywhere else.
The Clinic provides upper year law students the opportunity to learn real intellectual property practice by working with local inventors and startups under the supervision of qualified professionals. The Clinic also provides intellectual property services to needy inventors and startups in the local communities, assisting them by counselling on matters of intellectual property ownership, completing patent and trademark searches, reports and opinions, preparing patent and trademark applications, filing and prosecuting patents and trademarks and assisting with the formation of businesses and ventures.
To be considered for acceptance as a client, interested parties can fill out the Patent Client Application Form on our website.
