How to Choose Your Business Structure as an Entrepreneur
To incorporate or not to incorporate? That is a question that every entrepreneur or business owner must ask themselves at some point. During this workshop, you will learn the appropriate business structure for your start-up, whether your company needs a founder’s agreement, how to protect your intellectual property rights and how start-ups can protect themselves from employment-related lawsuits. Joshua Cheifetz Joshua is a graduate of the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Canadian American Dual JD Program. Josh specializes in Corporate/Commercial and Tax law and primarily acts for Entrepreneurial companies.
Brian Cowell, CPA, CA Brian is a senior manager at Collins Barrow Windsor who provides accounting and assurance services to clients in a wide variety of industries including professionals, insurance, not-for-profits, charities, manufacturing, tech and automotive. Brian has assisted numerous small business owners with tax planning, compliance, HST, compensation strategies and buying and selling a business. He works closely with owner-managers to provide strategic advice and a tailor-made approach to tax planning in order to achieve business objectives in a tax effective manner.
