This event will also lay important groundwork for The Social Innovation Challenge. The Social Innovation Challenge is an event that brings together members of a local community to address social problems in their neighborhoods. Over the course of the time together, participants are mentored by business coaches in creating sustainable projects to address local social problems. The projects that are selected as most likely to succeed are granted funding to get off the ground and test out their ideas. After the event, the participants are paired with mentors to help guide their journey as they implement their project.
