Mobile Application Development students creating platform to provide healthier food options for hospital patients
Simon Lizotte, Liam Goodwin and Carmen Kerim, current students from the Mobile Application Development Program at St. Clair College, are currently in the process of developing a solution to this ‘hospital food’ problem with the hopes of not only changing people’s perceptions about hospital food, but more importantly, to give patient’s access to healthier options.
The results are in! The 2017 EPIC Fall Founders Program came to a close on December 1st, 2017 with a Final Pitch Day.
On November 17-18, 2017, eighteen student startups from across Ontario competed in the second annual RBC EPIC Business Model Canvas Competition, a pitch competition hosted by the University of Windsor and the Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre).
With limited resources available to new Canadians, this can be an extremely anxious and difficult time for newcomers to Canada. In response, two of EPICentre’s newest Founders, Arielle Opler and Ashley Baez Abru, are currently working on a social enterprise that will assist with integrating, inspiring and empowering new Canadians, and enabling them to feel comfortable in their new country!
